He continued his painting studies in Vienna. In the years 1894-1896 he studied at the private painting school of Anton A\u017eb\u00e9 in Munich, where he returned many times. From 1891, the artist regularly participated in exhibitions at the TZSP in Warsaw and at the TPSP in Krak\u00f3w and Lviv. From 1903 he collaborated with Stanis\u0142aw Batowski in the painting school he ran in Lviv. Bratkowski painted mainly landscapes, dominated by sea views and nocturnes. The artist&#039;s paintings are in the collections of museums in Krak\u00f3w, Warsaw and Tarn\u00f3w as well as in private collections. They were perfectly composed and finished, imbued with a mood of subtle melancholy.
