In \u015awiebodzice, formerly in the buildings at present J\u00f3zefa Pi\u0142sudskiego Street, there was one of the well-known clock companies in \u015awiebodzice called: Germania. Over its several decades of history, this company has experienced very turbulent events. In his history there were moments of growth and flowering, but also periods of disputes and lawsuits. Nevertheless, Germania is today considered a company that in the history of the \u015awiebodzkie clock industry can boast of a very significant number of clocks produced, in this respect only the Gustav Becker group.<\/p>\n
The factory opening date is today October 1, 1871. It is worth adding here that in the same year the creation of the German Empire with emperor Wilhelm I Hohenzollern was proclaimed (January 18, 1871), therefore, in memory of this memorable event, the founders of \u015awiebodzice the companies decided to call it Germania. The local company was an enterprise operating initially on the basis of cooperative (German: Genossenschaft), (1) or a voluntary association of 17 people, former employees of the Gustav Becker group, who decided to leave their employer and set up their own business.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
