housing: walnut, mahogany, boxwood, olive and many other types of veneers, glass; mechanism: brass, bronze, steel; height: 216 cm; width cm; depth cm.
England, London, turn of the 17th / 18th century
Simple-shaped cabinet housing. With a door with a circular slide showing the movement of the pendulum. Hood with glass door, simple cornice. Brass dial, on the ring Roman numeral hour and minute Arabic; in the center of the dial at the top there is a second hand, below the inscription "Anthony Aviolet / London"; a square calendar window below it. Openwork tips. At the top, in the arcade, a shield that turns the clock run on and off. Cast, openwork corners with a motif of a plant flagellum and turbinates; cupids holding the crown in the backwater. The entire surface of the wardrobe is covered with a rich veneer inlays made of walnut, blackberry, boxwood, olive, mahogany and many others.
