The Piano Harp (hymn) or piano harp is called an instrument made of a pin roller similar to the one in a playing box, in which the pins in the shaft affect multiple felt sticks that strike the tone of the strings. The drum is cranked and can be moved sideways to play different melodies. The drum is also easy to release and replace to expand your repertoire. The same technique used on a street piano, but the piano harp has been built into various table forms. It is sometimes referred to as a small-town harp, as most of it was produced in Nässja and Näshult in Småland in the 1880s, until the Söder Nässja factory burned down in 1929.

The invention is credited to the self-learning organ builder Johannes Magnusson in Nässja, but the principle was previously known and applied in Europe to street piano, orchestration and other self-playing instruments. Piano harps were sold to schools and parishes where the teacher or priest could not play the instrument himself, but the market disappeared in the 1920s due to the progress of the gramophone.
